Bonsignore Fam in Seattle

The weather here is a bit hotter than we expected. Seattle had record heat this past weekend and Dad & Nancy do not have AC in their house!!! On Thursday we went to the Factory Outlet Mall here in North Bend. Adelaide needed a pair of sunglasses since the sun was shining so brightly (not an all too common thing in Seattle). We found these cool shades at Gymboree. She looked so cute even though she has a petite nose! We took this picture of her before we headed over the mountains to eastern Washington on Friday. We checked out Dad's antique booth.

On Saturday, we went downtown. Since it was such a beautiful, clear day, Mt. Rainier and Mt. Baker were standing out in all their glory! There was not one cloud in the sky and it reached 94* downtown! We ate at Ivar's on the piers and then headed to the market. Adelaide lost her binky at Ivar's and since the seagulls are ready to snatch anything from humans such as french fries or Addie's fingers and they poop everywhere, we left binky behind! Pike's Place Market, the home of the famous "throwing fish" outfit, was not too crowded for an amazing Seattle day. Adelaide snoozed for a bit in her stroller and we went to our favorite t-shirt shop, Seattle T-Shirt Co.

Oh, and Addie lost this binky too, here....

On Sunday, we went to the locks...Grandma's favorite place to visit. My cousin, Joey, also lives in Seattle and he went with us. He had biked around the locks, but had never been down to the fish ladders. There were a few salmon, but not many. There were however, a bunch of boats headed into Lake Union from the Pudget Sound.

The gardens are really spectacular at the locks too. I saw a beautiful poppy blowing above many of the other flowers and I took Adelaide over to look at it. I wanted to get a picture of Adelaide reaching for the flower, but she reached just a bit too far and got the flower! She was really proud of herself, but I just wanted to get rid of the evidence!

Glad she wasn't able to get one of the gorgeous rose bushes!

After we left the locks, Joey took us to the Red Mill burger place. It was a great place...I had chicken and Matt had a double bacon cheeseburger. I also got some fresh squeezed lemonade...very refreshing Then, we went to see the troll under the Aurora Bridge.

Well, we will post more later! I hope we get to go to Franklin Falls and take Adelaide. We also need to go up to Snoqualamie Falls and down to the Snoqualamie River. We have been getting quite a bit of shopping done too and Matt has enjoyed coffee EVERY day from Huxdotter's.
