Only in the midwest do you wake up to a hail storm at 5am at the end of December! Geesh! On Christmas Eve it was 15* and then Christmas Day it warmed up to 40* ... then December 26 it was around 60*. Last night they were calling for a thunderstorm, we were under a tornado watch, and so whatever, we went to bed. Woke up at 5am to pea and dime sized hail hitting the windows and beating the house. When we got up, the hail was still on the deck...BECAUSE it is back to 30* today (and that will be our high). So, the hail is not melting too quickly off of the deck. The weather is calling for more rain, temps dropping so then freezing rain, and finally turning over to snow for a couple of inches.

The same line of storms came through Oklahoma City at about 4:45AM this morning...I woke up to 70mph winds, hail, and the most vivid lightning! Guess I have to get used to storms in EVERY month of the year...this is Oklahoma, and it's Tornado Alley! :-)
We had this too! Our was more ice then snow but still!
