Last of Pics from Seattle

Not quite sure why on Earth Grandma wanted to mow the yard, but she did. Dad set the mower so the blade was NOT down and so she could get the hang of it. (he mowed the rest of the yard and left a patch for her). He set the speed pretty low and off she went! Oh, and she had ear protection on after she was on the go. After she went around once and got the feel for how the mower drove, Dad lowered the blade and away she went! She finished mowing the yard...I have never seen someone so excited about mowing!?!?!!? Anyhow, she had fun!

And, here is Adelaide after Grandma got done mowing...

Every time we visit Seattle, we have to go to Snoqualmie Falls. The falls are amazing and each time we say, "I wonder if there is going to be a lot of water coming over the falls?" Well, the Northwest had quite a bit of snow this past winter, so the falls were full. I have seen them fuller, but they were pretty full this time. I have also seen them when there was just a pee stream too (usually in the fall)!

Grandma got some roses the day before we left....very beautiful! Too bad she couldn't bring them home with us!
Our vacation went by really fast, but it is always good to get home.

We had two layovers on the way back...never again, but it did save $100 a person! Anyhow, we took a turbo prop from Seattle to Spokane; when we back out and was heading down the flight line, the plane stopped. The pilot announced something was wrong with the hydraulics on the plane, so we turned around and they looked at the problem. Turns out it was a sensor problem and they needed to clean the hydraulic fluid (?) off of the sensor. All was fine, but we knew we were going to be cutting it close to making our connecting flight in Minneapolis. And sure enough, when we landed in Spokane, they were closing the door on our flight to Minneapolis. Spokane's airport is a nice place for a small airport, but we had to go out of security and then back in. Well, fine and dandy, but since we changed airlines (Horizons to Northwest), it was a pain! They (Northwest) knew we were late, but since there were only 3 of us plus one infant, they were not going to wait! Anyhow, the rest of the trip was uneventful and our luggage made it and we only had one bag of milk break...the first bag that has ever broken, so I say our travels with a 5 month old were successful!
